Hey SIPSTERS! (Really, this is going to catch on.) Episode 4 is PACKED with tons of stuff you definitely don't want to miss. It's our biggest episode yet. We've launched social media sites since our last episode so you may want to check them out to stay connected with us between shows. You can find them at:
The beginning of episode 4 can be summed up in three words: ADAM'S FAMILY PRAYERS. Words can't really explain it. So just listen, especially if you need to smile today.
I also shared a video about Jesus' journey into the desert. Check it out here:
The rest of the show is broken into two main segments. In the first segment, we addressed the promised topic of praying with teens. For this interview we sat down with Catherine and Maggie Pawsey. They gave some great insight into how prayer is incorporated into the very fabric (literally) of their household. Be sure to listen to the episode for all of their great ideas. A special thanks goes out to Catherine and Maggie for giving us some of their time over the weekend.
Be sure to check out Fr. Mike Schmitz and the UMD Newman Catholic Campus Ministry podcast. Maggie talks about how much she loves listening to these and we second that!! Here's a link to the podcast on iTunes: CLICK HERE.
On the second half of the show, we had our FIRST musical guests on The Catholic Sip! Husband and wife duo Greg&Lizzy joined us to celebrate the release of their new album, Now That I Have Love, which came out February 23. Probably the coolest thing about their music is that their lyrics aren't what you'd find in most Christian songs. Their music uses secular lyrics to deliver a Catholic message. Want to hear it for yourself? Be sure to download their album from iTunes or Amazon. You can even hear the song Cathedrals in its entirety on this week's show.
You can find out more information about Greg&Lizzy on their website: www.gregandlizzy.com
So with SO MUCH content, what's the take away this week? You tell us. We want to hear from you! Do you think we missed something? Let us know! Leave your comments below.
